Snow's beauty

Some beautiful pictures of the snow. It is rare to get this much snow in Krum, we loved it!

Snow Day

It was a crazy drive home, but the fun we had in the 9 inches was well worth the hassle.
The puppies loved the snow. They would get these huge snowballs on their fur. It looked so funny

Alex spent hours outside playing, Krum took the next day as snow day as well. So the kids were so excited about missing school.
Bouncing snow is more fun than falling snow.

Notice anything missing.... Jessi

Jessi is not a fan of the cold or snow.

First test is over

Life is very stressful right now with school, clinicals, work and kids. I took the first test of the semester today and have 2 more this week. I'm at least a bit closer to graduation. I keep praying this will pay off one day. If I can manage to keep my sanity and not drive everyone else crazy it will be mircle.

Here is to having one test done,
Mike made be a rack of Lamb to celebrate.

We got a new floor

After 11 yrs our kitchen floor has taken a beaten. Between normal wear and tear, we have had a boat load of animals in the mud room over the years (including sick calves). Our new puppies decided to help with the destruction of the floor by tearing up the edges and eating it.

So we picked out new flooring, more modern and less dated then old blue diamond flooring. I must commend Mike on getting everything replaced including the baseboards in one day.

The best part is the floor looks like a beige stone with imperfections, so spills and nicks just look like part of the floor.

Now to replace the carpet, maybe next year.

Loving my Clinicals

Every semester you wonder if you'll get a good clinical site. Well, my pedi site it is great. My instructor is also my preceptor. She lets me go in and see the patients independently, then she comes in to confirm my diagnosis. I hope everyone got the flu shot this year half my kiddos had the flu including a 7 wk old.

She also know all the best places to eat. This is going to be a great semester.

ALEX is 10

It's hard to believe Alex is 10!!
He has really grown in the last couple of months. His stats are 4'8" 73 lbs, doing well in school.
He had a small party at Main Event in honor of his double digits.
Mom and Dad even got to play laser tag. Our team of boys stomped the 9-10 girls in laser tag.
Star Wars legos are the mainstay at this point. I think we have all but one.

The red rollercoaster was his favorite ride.
So did Jessi

Alex's big surgery

Alex is finally of age to have his bone graft surgery. I was a nervous wreck for days, I have no idea why. Alex was a champ as usual. He was very brave and mature. He had to do the recovery without Mom and was great. Every nurse bragged on him. One hour into the overnight stay and he was ready for home, so they let us go home.

He never loses his sense of humor :)
